The St. Valentine’s Day Tournament of Combat & Archery
Upon the Day of Saint Valentine, long held as a time to honor loyal bonds, steadfast companionship, and the quiet promises shared between good folk. Esperance invites all members and visitors to witness a tournament shaped by honor, discipline, and the crafts we hold dear. Both the art of the blade and the art of the bow shall stand in tribute to this storied day.
📜 Court begins at 9:30 AM
Our gathering opens with Court, where proclamations are made and the course of the day is set before all.
⚔️ Combat in the Morning
The lists call first to the fighters. With measured steps and trained resolve, combatants will meet one another in contests befitting the customs of our realm and the spirit of St. Valentine: loyalty, courage, and steadfastness.
🍽️ Break at Noon for Meal
At the midday bell, all shall pause to take a simple meal, share companionship, and prepare for the trials yet to come.
🏹 Archery in the Afternoon
In the later hours, the line is set for the archers. Each arrow loosed is a quiet mark of intention; precise, deliberate, and worthy of the traditions that accompany this day of heartfelt regard.
